Fundraising Tips

So you have decided to raise money and awareness of Anderson Animal Shelter's need to SAVE MORE ANIMALS IN NEED!

THANK YOU!

Here are some easy ways

YOU can help!

Fundraising Tips and Ideas

Make the first donation. Studies have shown that people are more likely to donate once they see that you have also donated.

Get organized. Host a get-together with your team! A coffee break, dinner, or happy hour is a great way to discuss all your creative ideas to collectively reach your team goal.

Movie night. Host a movie night at your home, a local gathering space, or a park for your friends and family. Make some popcorn and ask them to support animals in need.

Party with a purpose. Invite your friends (and their friends) over and charge a few dollars for a good cause!

Spare change jar. Ask your place of employment to put out a change jar for people to drop in their spare change as they pass by. Leave the jar out year round or just during Walk season.

Charity Day. Host a charity day or night at your place of business, your school or at a local coffee shop.

Share your goal with others! Send an email to 20 people, share a post on your Facebook or Instagram page and invite friends to help you reach your goal. A personal request always goes a long way. Don't forget to tell people why you are walking to help animals in need! Is it because you believe animals deserve second chances? Maybe you have adopted a furbaby from Anderson Animal Shelter and that pet has changed your life in some way?

Simply Right Click on the image and choose "Save Image", to save the image and use on your Facebook and Instagram pages or emails for fundraising requests. Then Copy and paste the fundraising request below for use in emails or Facebook posts for ease!

I am raising money to help Anderson Animal Shelter at the Anderson Walk4Animals on October 12th. Studies have found that animal-human interactions reduce anxiety, depression, loneliness, and symptoms of PTSD. Pet ownership, particularly dog ownership, is associated with decreased Cardio Vascular Disease. Those are just a few reasons why animals are amazing!

Anderson Animal Shelter cares for over 4,000 animals every year providing love, health and second chances. They create positive experiences for pets and people in our community every day. Together, we can help them achieve their mission of saving even more animals and helping them find their furever homes in the Fox Valley and beyond! Will you help me by making a donation?
