Special needs pets
Sometimes we all need a little extra help.
Medically special needs animals.
Sometimes homeless pets are relinquished to the shelter because they have medical issues their owners couldn't afford to treat. Even with discounts from local veterinary clinics, the surgeries required are often beyond what the shelter can afford. The pets listed below are currently in need of extensive (and expensive) surgery. Your donation will make it possible for them to recieve the care they need to give them the second chance they deserve. Thank you for caring.
Milly
Milly came to Anderson in March, as part of a rescue transport from an overcrowded shelter in Arkansas. Her foster mom soon realized that there was something not quite right about the way she moves. Anderson's veterinarian believes it may a neurological issue, but in order to better determine the cause of her condition, more testing, including an MRI and spinal tap would be required. This testing will cost upwards of $4,000, which is beyond the scope of Anderson's ability to pay. Milly's foster mom has created a Go Fund Me page on her behalf.
