Thank you for your interest in adopting from Anderson Humane. We are excited to help you find your furry companion!
We believe that the human-animal connection has unlimited benefits for both people and animals. What better way to bring an animal into your life than adopting a pet in need of a home? When it comes to finding your new best friend, Anderson is here to help. Our adorable adoptables are all viewable on our website and can be met by scheduling an appointment with our Customer Service Department. While we cannot guarantee the health, age, breed, temperament, or training of any animal, we will do our best to provide you with full and accurate information so that you can make the most informed decision for your family. Anderson will also provide limited post-adoption support through our behavior hotline and limited medical support through our clinic to help you and your pet during the first few weeks’ adjustment period.

Our Adoption Process:
Step 1: Visit our Adoptable Dogs or Adoptable Cats page to view our adoptable companions. Note the location of the companion you are interested in adopting.
firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate an in-person appointment or to request more information about a specific companion.
Step 3: Someone from our team will email you to book an appointment, discuss the animal you chose, provide more information, and help you determine if it is a mutual match. You will then be able to schedule your 60-minute in-person Adoption Counseling and Meet and Greet.
If you are interested in meeting a specific animal, you must schedule your appointment within 24-hours of your request to give our animals their best chance to find their forever homes.
Step 4: To confirm your appointment to meet with the companion of your choice, we request a $25 Adoption Appointment Deposit. This deposit will put the pet of your choice on hold for you and save your Adoption Appointment time slot!
We will provide as much information as possible about your new companion. Our sources include previous households, fosters, and our partner shelters. Behavior varies from environment to environment, and we cannot guarantee behavior will be the same in your home.
We are following CDC recommendations for COVID precautions.
