About Anderson's Walk4Animals

There will be big dogs, little dogs, dogs in strollers, dogs in costumes, and maybe even a turtle or parrot, at Anderson Animal Shelter’s fundraising walk on Saturday, Oct. 12th, 2019. Anderson’s Walk4Animals is a giant celebration of pet lovers and their pets. The day will begin at Batavia Park District’s Peg Bond Center, where walkers will check-in and enjoy light morning snacks and coffee before the walk.

  • Check-In starts at 9:00 am at the Peg Bond Center in Batavia, Illinois.

  • Choose between a one-mile course OR three-mile route.

  • "After pawty" (post-walk celebration) from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join Us at our "after pawty" to enjoy live entertainment with family and pet-friendly fun for all! Find food and retail vendors at our Tailgating area as well as a space for children and pets at our Little Peeps Play area. Incredible photo opportunities throughout with many opportunities for fun as we recognize the hard work our supporters put in to help us reach our goal of raising $300,000.00.

Every dollar makes a huge difference in Anderson Animal Shelter's ability to provide love, health and second chances for more animals in the Fox Valley and beyond.

Create a Team!

Create a team consisting of friends, family, clubs, co-workers, businesses, sports teams, organizations, schools, etc. The more money we raise, the more pets we save!

During the online registration process, you will be asked if you want to create a team. Quick...text five friends and hop on your favorite social media platforms to invite those you know who love their pets and want to support the Anderson mission of improving the lives of pets and people! Once you have your team together, come up with a fun name, designate a team leader, and decide a fundraising goal! Register as a team, create a fundraising page and share your page to request donations that make a huge impact in all we do at Anderson Animal Shelter. Each team member will need to join your "existing team" when they register individually.

*Three or more people are required to form a Walk team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my pet?

ABSOLUTELY!! Not everyone has to bring a pet, but ALL furry friends are welcome! This is a celebration of the love between people and their pets! However, please see our rules for bringing pets below.

ALL animals must be kept on a leash at all times.

Event Rules for Dogs

For the health and safety of all dogs and people participating, participants are asked to observe the following rules for canines attending the event with you:

  • Please be respectful and pick up after your pet.
